Great Island

This oil painting is an ode to the drama of high-altitude landscapes and the creation of vast distance. I focus on capturing the interplay between shadow and light, using a soft tonal palette to translate the harmonious, atmospheric glow. By muting the tones, I aim to replicate the haze of the mountains, allowing the illumination to emerge gently from the canvas.
