Lavender Fields

In this plein air study, I sought to capture the ethereal quality of light found in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The composition relies on soft, diffused edges to transition from the textured, lavender-tinted grasses of the foreground to the smooth, receding blue peaks. By keeping the light gentle and consistent, I aimed to create a visual journey that pulls the viewer steadily into the quiet vastness of the landscape.
