A monochromatic plein air painting of clouds drifting across the sky above the Tennessee River, as an illuminated sailboat glides through the lower foreground. Created during the Artists on Location 2026 in Knoxville, the work uses subtle tonal shifts and atmospheric restraint to evoke a quiet sense of place and light. The painting was awarded First Place by juror Suzie Baker.
